Every second weekend of September, the city of Kelso, Washington comes alive with the sights, sounds, and spirit of Scotland. The Kelso Highlander Festival & Scottish Games is one of the Pacific Northwest's longest-running Highland festivals — 44 years of pipes, kilts, games, dance, and community, all completely free to attend.
Kelso was founded in 1884 by Peter Crawford, who named his new city after his hometown of Kelso, Scotland. More than 140 years later, we honor that heritage every year in Tam O'Shanter Park — and we'd love for you to join us.

2026 HONORED CLAN
We are proud to honor Clan Chisholm as our featured clan for 2026. The Chisholms are one of Scotland's great Highland clans, rooted in the glens of Strathglass in Inverness-shire. Their motto — Feros Ferio, "I am fierce with the fierce" — speaks to a proud and enduring legacy.
Join us in welcoming Clan Chisholm to Tam O'Shanter Park this September.
